Peace, tranquility, silence abounding in memories…

White trails of steel horses streak the sky,
the noisy rattle of revolving turbines is relegated to a distant oblivion,

peace, tranquility, silence abounding in memories…
the burden of centuries is soaked with the present,

the timeless faces of the monks that, like the heavy doors, open their faces
in brotherly smiles like that of the barefoot Saint Francis,

the woods, a constant for the pilgrim on bicycle,
saturate with their aroma the olfactory senses of the slow passing of the seasons.

The moss, polar star of the twilight foliage of the beech trees,
dissolves any fear of getting lost because you cannot get lost.

Eternity is present here and the present turns to sand, nothingness,
mixing both serious and frugal thoughts,
in the vastness of a sea of swaying leaves,
with oviparous that dilute their sweet song from the tree tops.

Valerio made the stop at Terminillo (Tempio Votivo) and did the Saint Francis Walk 21/09/2006 to 23/09/2006 on mountain bike.
